Kate Moss by Banksy, estimated between $39,000 and $55,000, sold for $73,620. Bomb Hugger by Banksy, estimated between $39,000 and $55,000, sold for $92,449. Armoured Car, estimated between $39,000 and $55,000, sold for $77,406. Drag Queen by Andy Warhol, estimated between $63,000 and $94,000, sold for $77,242. The Beatles by Warhol, estimated between $78,000 and $109,000, sold for $124,422. Candy Box Open by Warhol, estimated between $47,000 and $62,000, sold for $137,548, more than double the initial estimate. Blue-chip works by Andy Warhol and Banksy have demonstrated a consistent tendency to appreciate over time. The art market has regained much of its former strength and looks set to continue this upward trend as 2010 progresses.
