The Ultravelvet Collection yields a signature vintage quality and style that highlights retro-inspired grains, saturated colors and distinct hues that cannot be found in digital photography. For spring 2011 the Ultravelvet Collection introduces a selection of 9 new photographs.
Expanding on their previous concepts of the relationship between photography and graphic design, these works fuse bold and graphic images. The collection puts a new spin on some of our favorite Ultravelvet pieces, which include familiar imagery of rock & roll greats and monetary icons. As we are reminded of the effect of bold colorways and exposure, the haunting complexity of these twice exposed and layered pieces instantly draws in all viewers.
