Mao appears both sinister and comical in these famous renditions by Andy Warhol. Also available are Paramount and Blackglama, two of Warhol’s most well-known and esteemed advertisements. Warhol’s Dollar ($) Signs best represent the artist’s satirical take on conspicuous consumption. In the words of Warhol, “I like money on the wall. Say you were going to buy a $200,000 painting. I think you should take that money, tie it up, and hang it on the wall.
