The Last Picture Show


Guy Hepner is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition, "The Last Picture Show" featuring the work of Russell Young. The artist's larger than life paintings of Hollywood icons are undeniably powerful and gripping, and "The Last Picture Show" focuses in on Marilyn Monroe. Guy Hepner will be showcasing the last remaining Marilyn portraits from the artist's archive. The exhibition will be begin with a celebration on October 22nd in Los Angeles, while Miami will host the event in December, during Art Basel.

Marilyn Monroe is recognized as one of the most popular and remembered Hollywood starlets. A muse to many, Marilyn's image has become an icon in art and pop culture. Russell Young's powerful paintings successfully convey the intense emotional turmoil and passion that surrounded the star. The use of diamond dust adds a magical glittering effect that imbues an ethereal quality to the stunning paintings of of Marilyn.

Russell Young's works are a reflection of Marilyn Monroe's importance and impact on pop culture, and are showcased in a variety color ways on large canvases. FAITH Exhibit opens Tuesday, October 11


With the hype surrounding London's Frieze week, Guy Hepner is featuring several works in a joint exhibition with Sims Reed Gallery. Opening Tuesday, October 11, FAITH will showcase contemporary art and photography that focuses in on religious influences and iconography. Works from Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst, David LaChapelle, and Chris Bracey will be featured, along with Banksy, Gilbert and George, and Cameron Gray.

The works will be on view until October 21st at Sims Reed Gallery, located in the Economist Building at 30 Bury Street, London. Avant-garde, thought provoking, and controversial, the FAITH exhibit pushes the boundaries and offers a unique look for the boldest of collectors. Guy Hepner: London, LA, Miami

Guy Hepner's Fall schedule of events includes exhibitions in London, LA, and Miami. Having become a global brand, Guy Hepner is excited to present some of the most sought after artists in today’s active international market. Renown artists from around the world will be featured in three powerhouse art cities: London - home of Frieze, Avant-Garde Los Angeles, and Miami - host of Art Basel.



Our FAITH exhibit will be focusing in on religious influences and iconography during London’s Frieze week. Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst, David LaChapelle, and Chris Bracey will be the headliners in a joint exhibit with IFPDA gallery Sims Reed. Also being featured in the show are Vik Muniz, and Grayson Perry, and Mel Bochner.


Later in October, our West Hollywood gallery will be hosting Russell Young works in "The Last Picture" show. Russell Young has become one of the most collected and sought after artists of our time. The artist’s luminous body of work highlights popular Hollywood icons, and will be celebrated on October 22nd between 6 and 9 pm.



Final preparations are being made for Miami.  Guy Hepner anticipates the celebration of our gallery in Bal Harbour with an opening party with Russell Young attending. Works from David LaChapelle, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Chris Bracey, among many more, will be permanently exhibited in the Bal Harbour location.

September: Now on View

Going into Fall, Guy Hepner offers a look at what is now on view at 300 N Robertson. Our current exhibition, Sex™ by Guy Hepner, features an collection of works from world renown contemporary artists, and challenges modern notions of a sexually-charged society.
  
Sex™ by Guy Hepner is on view from September 10th, and highlights photography from high fashion photographers, David LaChapelle, Albert Watson, and Gavin Bond. The "Neon Man" Chris Bracey, also has work on view, and offers a bright and energetic take on various aspects of sexuality.

Unpublished Works from Russell James

Responsible for some of the most exotic and visually enticing photoshoots of the last decade, Russell James presents a series of Unpublished Works, now available from Guy Hepner. Having worked with the world's top models backstage and in remote, often tropical locations, the visual appeal of Russell James photographic aesthetics is without question.

This series from Russell James depicts various notable muses of our time in sultry settings. In both his black and white and multi-colored images, the artist masters the use line and shadow in order to leave a striking and permanent impression on the viewer. All Unpublished Works are available as limited edition fine art photography prints, signed and numbered by Russell James.
