Now on View at Guy Hepner West Hollywood

The highly anticipated exhibition, Super Power, has finally arrived at Guy Hepner in West Hollywood. The festive and patriotic collection includes universal classics from contemporary favorites. Photographer Gavin Bond's work will be showcased alongside Eric Hajjar and Meredith Rose's Ultravelvet collection, while our favorite Neon Artist, Chris Bracey, will continue to emphasize a focus on installation art.

With Jason Alper's most favored and recognizable work being displayed, we will also be featuring the FTA Collective's debut series. National identities are the consistent point of focus here, as we address several global super powers.

With Andy Warhol setting market trends, no collection would be complete without his work. Mao's and Dollar Signs will also be available during the Super Power exhibit, and they add a strong statement to the nationalistic presentation.

Guy Hepner debuts FTA Collective

FTA Collective is an artistic collaboration between multiple international artists under the pseudonym FTA. Influenced by the anonymity of British street artist Banksy, FTA work anonymously as a statement against the commercialization of art and the cult of celebrity artists. FTA believe that art should be judged purely on its aesthetic and ideological values, not on who the artist is. Specializing in high gloss, politically provoking subject matter, FTA aim to enfranchise collectors beyond the realm of collecting "name artists".

FTA Collective's inaugural collection 2011 features three installation pieces focusing on national identities. Fabricated from various materials including stainless steel, plexiglas, gloss paint and vacuum plastic, FTA aim for each work to be visually seamless and flawless in composition.

Adriana Lima by Russell James

Australian born Russell James is one of the world's most renown fashion photographers, whose body of work has become synonymous with the word provocative. The artist has been responsible for some of the most exotic and visually enticing photoshoots of the last decade. Working with the world's top models backstage and in remote, often tropical locations, the visual appeal of Russell James photographic aesthetics is without question.

Russell James' latest body of work offers a unique perspective of one of the most sought after and memorable models in the industry. Having photographed numerous fashion shows, Russell James gives the viewer a more intimate and personal glance at his muse, Adriana Lima. The Mono-Tone Series from Gavin Bond

This series from Gavin Bond was shot originally for the inaugural publication of "Treats." Now with the collection "Mono-Tone," these classic black and white images are reminiscent of photography greats such as Avedon, Mapplethorpe, and Penn, and they consistently highlight form, light, and shadow in a sultry yet sophisticated way.

While Gavin Bond is most consistently associated with the vibrant, sexy, and playful imagery we've seen in his Backstage series, here the viewer is pleasantly surprised with the presence of statuesque muses and the dismissal of color. The collection, "Mono-Tone," not only sparks an interest in what may be left to the imagination, but it further validates Gavin Bond's undeniable talent within the realm of High Fashion photography.

Guy Hepner announces the forthcoming exhibit SUPERPOWER

In an era when the status of the world's first and only superpower, the USA is questioned on a daily basis, SUPERPOWER investigates the core elements and ideology that created and maintains the USA's superpower status.

In juxtaposition to this, SUPERPOWER includes work inspired by the world's emerging superpower, China. This side by side comparison of these two widely different, but often similar powers offers a fascinating insight into the delevopment of the world in the 21st century.

Scheduled to coincide with July 4th, SUPERPOWER will include all new work from Gavin Bond, Chris Heads, Chris Bracey and FTA Collective created specifically for this exhibit, alongside classicly engaging works from Andy Warhol.

New Panoramas from David Drebin

Now available from Guy Hepner are David Drebin's most recently released panorama photographs. Hand-picked by the artist for our gallery, these pieces stay true to the quality and content we love to see from the photographer.

In a unique manner, David Drebin’s work combines voyeuristic and psychological viewpoints. He offers the viewer a dramatic insight into emotions and experiences which many of us have doubtlessly felt at some point of our lives. A graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York City in 1996, David Drebin rapidly made a name for himself as an internationally successful photographer.

Drebin's digital photographs provide the viewer with a nearly infinite surface for the imagination, while remaining epic, dramatic and, above all, cinematic. His use of light and shadow is often found haunting, yet in the most enchanting manner. Debin's scenes frequently highlight massive skyscrapers, seascapes, and feminine beauty, and his photographs are meticulously detailed.  David Drebin is a universal contemporary and high fashion artist whose work is ideal for both the new and seasoned collector.
